THERMACOME

The THERMACOME® low-temperature hydraulic underfloor heating and cooling system is used to heat or cool all or part of the building. It is suitable for use in new buildings, houses, collective housing, commercial premises or public buildings: offices, factories, schools, hotels and restaurants, churches, gymnasiums, swimming pools, sports stadiums, etc.

Applications

The THERMACOME system is particularly suitable for new collective housing or houses and commercial or public premises: factories, schools, hotels and restaurants, churches, gymnasiums, swimming pools, sports stadiums, etc.

Advantages

Best heat distribution system

Low-temperature hydraulic underfloor heating systems are the best heating solution with a gas-fired condensing boiler, fuel oil boiler, geothermic or aerothermic system, solar collectors, wood-burning stove, etc., combining maximum comfort and savings with the most visually pleasing solution available.
THERMACOME® is a complete system of low-temperature hydraulic underfloor heating and cooling equipment for use with a concrete cover or a liquid screed. Its operation is based on the principle of water circulating through non-chemically cross-linked polyethylene (PEXc) tubing held in place on a smooth or slotted insulating slab. The EPS slotted slabs protect the tubing until the liquid screed or concrete cover supporting the flooring is laid. The CSTB-certified NOVACOME® or PRIMACOME® self-locking slotted insulating slabs ensure the system offers verified efficiency levels.

Invisible and healthy

As it is integrated into the building itself (in the floor), THERMACOME® offers you complete freedom in laying out your rooms. The system provides a heating unit that is:

  • The biggest (the room’s entire area is heated or cooled),
  • The quietest (no sound of motors or water flowing through piping),
  • The cleanest (no dirty marks on the walls),
  • The healthiest (the heat is gentle and even, with no blowing of dust or mites).

Comfortable and economical throughout the year

An underfloor heating system enables the room temperature to be 2°C lower than with radiator heating while still providing the same feeling of comfort, and so consumes less power. When combined with low- and very low temperature heat generators (geothermic systems, solar panels, thermodynamic systems, gas-fired condensing boilers, etc.) and a suitable temperature regulation unit controlling the entire system, an underfloor heating system provides the best combination of economy and comfort.

The THERMACOME® system is also reversible. When supplied with cool water (18°C), it becomes an underfloor cooling system instead, absorbing heat when the ambient temperature is higher than the floor temperature.

System components

Insulating slabs:

  • NOVACOME filmed slotted slabs: CSTB-certified heat and sound insulation efficiency. NOVACOME is available in 4 thicknesses (from 51 to 95 mm), offering 4 different thermal resistances complying with current heat insulation regulations applicable to heated new and renovated property built directly on the ground or over a ventilation space (from 0.75 to 2.60 m².K/W).
  • PRIMACOME unfilmed slotted slabs: CSTB-certified heat insulation efficiency. PRIMACOME is available in 4 thicknesses (from 51 to 95 mm), offering 4 different thermal resistances complying with current heat insulation regulations applicable to heated new and renovated property built directly on the ground or over a ventilation space (from 0.75 to 2.60 m².K/W).
  • ELEA smooth slabs (ACERMI-certified): 5 thermal resistances from 1.00 to 2.60 m².K/W.

Tubing networks:

ECOTUBE® and EUROPEX® tubing is classified under Family C by CSTB Technical Assessment (ATec) no. 14/07-1146 (Tubing and fitting system).
ACOME PEXc tubing, which is fully opaque and cross-linked in a non-chemical, electrophysical process, offers enhanced protection against bacterial growth and silting. It offers maximum safety. Although few manufacturers offer this essential technology, ACOME has always done so.

Edge insulation:

Two ranges, in cross-linked or standard polyethylene, to provide vibration mounting and heat and sound insulation between the raft foundation and the flooring of the building’s vertical structures. The high-density PEXc edge insulation retains its efficiency, regardless of how it is laid (it is not creased in corners, and its adhesion remains excellent throughout its length due to its self-adhesive surface).

Fixings:

Fixing strips or staples are supplied depending on the surface upon which the tubing is laid.
