Applications

The VIVRACOME system provides a suitable solution for use in new and renovated buildings, houses, collective housing, commercial premises and public buildings.

VIVRACOM is recommended for use in upper floors, mezzanines and wooden houses. It is listed in the MBOC concept developed by CNDB, the French national committee for wood development.

VIVRACOME is an innovative solution that offers all of the following advantages:

• Slimline profile
• Up to ten times lighter than a conventional system (particularly suitable for laying in mezzanines or wood-framed houses)
• Enhanced comfort: two PEXc tubes are laid in slots in an aluminium-coated recyclable EPS insulation slab. The two tubes’ flows circulate in opposite directions to ensure perfectly even heat distribution — an exclusive ACOME feature
• Shorter installation time: a building’s rooms can be renovated in turn, meaning it can be occupied almost immediately

Invisible and healthy

VIVRACOME® offers you complete freedom in laying out your rooms. As it is integrated directly into the floor, this system provides a heating unit that is:

• The biggest (the room’s entire area is heated or cooled),
• The quietest (no motor noise or sound of water flowing through piping),
• The cleanest (no dirty marks on the walls),
• The healthiest (no blowing of dust or mites),
• The most comfortable (gentle heat, with no moving air).

Comfortable and economical throughout the year

An underfloor heating system enables the room temperature to be 2°C lower than with radiator heating while still providing the same feeling of comfort, and so consumes less power. When combined with low- and very low temperature heat generators (geothermic systems, solar panels, thermodynamic systems, gas-fired condensing boilers, etc.) and a suitable temperature regulation unit controlling the entire system, an underfloor heating system provides the best combination of economy and comfort.

The VIVRACOME system is also reversible. When supplied with cool water (18°C), it becomes an underfloor cooling system instead, absorbing heat when the ambient temperature is higher than the floor temperature.

Slim-line hydraulic underfloor heating system solution

VIVRACOME is sold in 10, 14 and 17m² packs containing the system’s main components. Easy heat control and storage — an innovative ACOME feature.

The VIVRACOME system is covered by a 10-year ACOME underfloor heating system warranty.

System components

Slotted insulation slabs:

Closed-cell polystyrene floor insulation slabs providing floor vibration mounting, heat insulation and tube positioning (thickness 20 mm). Two types of slabs are available: aluminium-coated main slabs, and end slabs.

Tubing networks:

The network consists of two 12 mm diameter ECOTUBE® and EUROPEX® tubes (outward/return) clipped into the same slab slot. This is an exclusive ACOME feature. ECOTUBE® and EUROPEX® tubing is classified under Family C by CSTB Technical Assessment (ATec) no. 14/07-1146 (Tubing and fitting system).
ACOME PEXc tubing, which is fully opaque and cross-linked in a non-chemical, electrophysical process, offers enhanced protection against bacterial growth and silting. It offers maximum safety. Although few manufacturers offer this essential technology, ACOME has always done so.

Edge insulation:

ACOME edge insulation in closed-cell cross-linked polyethylene foam provides vibration mounting and heat and sound insulation between the raft foundation and the building’s vertical structures. It is watertight throughout its length.
