Research and development is deeply rooted in ACOME's core business and a driver of its growth model. ACOME has full control over its research, innovation, design and development process. This process has been established with the aim of ensuring that the necessary technological building blocks for designing the products of the future are mastered.

It allows ACOME to better support its customers’ development by providing proximity and a strengthened partnership.

ACOME focuses its research and development strategy on three key areas:

  • Fixed and mobile transmissions for network and building infrastructure,
  • Optical fibre and cables,
  • Automotive cabling networks related to smart mobility.

ACOME's expertise is recognised by the profession across its various fields of activity. ACOME’s representatives, who are technical experts in their respective fields, participate as members in many professional organisations and actively serve on working groups and focus groups within various professional technical entities and standardisation bodies such as AFNOR, IEC, CENELEC, ARCEP, SYCABEL, EUROPACABLE, FIEEC, FTTH COUNCIL, CREDO, OBJECTIF FIBRE and OPEN ALLIANCE, among others.
